The Grand Master of Shanghai’s House of XinYiLiuHe
In the House of XinYiLiuHe, Master Yu HuaLong was one of the few experts left who was trained in the traditional ways. It is a well-known fact that Master Yu was one of the best in the House of XinYiLiuHe.
Almost everybody in the world of Martial Arts knew Master Yu, for he was the student of the famous master – Lu SongGao. In the House of XinYiLiuHe, masters who are in juxtaposition with Master Yu were such people as Master Xie XingBang, Master Sun ShaoPu, etc.
Master Yu is someone of fascinating stories. For example, during a gathering with some friends, Master Yu got quite excited and knocked on a dining table with his bear palm. The table was broken but Master Yu didn’t even notice. When Master Yu worked in a factory, an accident happened where a bunch of heavy stock material fell from some shelves. Master Yu was the first to notice the falling material and jumped right under it, he broke the fall with a single hand while he pushed a coworker out of harm’s way. Master Yu saved that coworker’s life but broke his own wrist in the process. There are also stories about young Master Yu standing fearlessly in front of a tank during the war.
When telling such stories, you can certainly notice the respect people have towards Master Yu, not only for his expertise in XinYiLiuHe Quan, but for the person he is. The three bullet wounds on his right arm are certainly the mark of extraordinary life stories.
